Funny part is: look at this picture. If you had your head stuck in the sand for two decades, would you even be able to tell which old fart is the coach and which is the quarterback?

Ya the vikes are definitely not thinking on this one cause he isn't their future so he is kicking the other 2 qb's in the balls. And really how is favre going to be by the end of the season... Probably beat down and tossing a lot of picks. He has a partial tear in his rotator cuff and proved last year that he is getting tired. Besides all that they are paying him 10 - 12 mil for this year, that money would have been better used somewhere else

In their defense, Sage and Tavarais really aren't the Vikes' future either...

no they aren't, but does that mean you should bring in a QB that is way past his prime. Oh and I was wrong about his contract.... it is 2 years 25 million that is an obscene amount of money for a old bastard. Minnesota should have went for a different option or did something else with that 25M... course then again as a bears fan I am not too sad that they didn't :P

Childress is drowning and is just trying to put something together that won't make him look like the complete moron that he is.

Complete moron? The man drove his team into the playoffs last year. The Vikings are not a bad team. Quite the opposite, in fact. Granted, you're a division rival fan, but still, the Vikings were a playoffs contender before Favre, they'll be a playoffs contender with Favre.

I'm not saying Favre is the answer; quite the opposite, in fact. I believe teams should grow QB's, not acquire them (Damn you, Dan Synder! Stop trying to screw with Campbell!!). Really Favre's job will be to hand off to Peterson and use the running game to spread the defenses so thin than even HE can squeeze a ball to the occasional receiver.

That said, I'm really only looking forward to his return to Lambeau field in a purple uniform. I smell riot coming.

everything I have read says that he doesn't have a clue what he is doing and his coordinators are taking care of business.
